With over 30 years as a designer and creative director, Jo Davison is adept at leading and inspiring large, interdisciplinary creative teams. Throughout her career, Jo has developed award-winning brand, print, and digital campaigns for clients including Apple, College of Visual Arts, McNally Smith College of Music, MS&R, Penumbra Theater, Piper Jaffray, Prime Therapeutics, SAGE, and The Wall Street Journal.

Noted for her high regard for collaborative and intelligent design, Jo has served the local and national design community in a number of roles including president of the Minnesota Chapter of AIGA, the professional association of design; faculty member at the College of Visual Arts; member of the University of Wisconsin–Stout art and design professional advisory board; and communications chair for the Association of Professional Design Firms. She served on the AIGA National Medalist, National Board Nominating, and National Liaison committees; judged the 2010 AIGA: 365 annual design competition; and has twice participated in Samsung’s National Design Review. Jo was recently named to the University of Minnesota College of Design advisory board.

Jo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of Minnesota, and completed post-graduate work in graphic design at Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Jo was honored in 2014 as an AIGA Minnesota Fellow and in the 2011 CVA Leaders of Design exhibition. Her work has won numerous awards from AIGA, AdFed, Communication Arts, Critique, Graphis, HOW, The Type Director’s Club, and Print.
